Changing an Account Alpha Prefix

This utility changes the prefix of an account number (ie: PAT -> FAM)

This utility changes the prefix of an account number. Because the Subscription Module allows for various prefixes to define the type of account on creation, this utility must be used to change an account to another type of account.

Select the Utilities icon on the top right of the menu bar.

Within the Data Maintenance window, select the option: Change Account Prefix.

Enter all requested information to change the Account Prefix.

  1. Select the Agency (if applicable).
  2. Type in the existing Account Number.
  3. Select the new Prefix.
  4. Click Run.
  5. A prompt confirms the account prefix change requested, showing previous account number and new account number.

There are five prefixes pre-set in the program, but additional prefixes can be created in the Quick Picks, Subscriber Type Setup.
