Crew Setup

Crew Setup is used for auto-population of Crew Members' names in the Crew Member Completing Report field which appears on the Billing Module's Other Tab for imported bills or bills posted from AIM ePCR.

Crew Setup allows for the names of Crew Members to show on the Billing Module's Other Tab. If a mapping does not exist for a Crew Member in Crew Setup, then their ID will display in the Other Tab instead of their name. 

Crew Names and IDs can be imported automatically by using an agency's Demographic XML file as shown above. Demographic XML files can typically be provided by an ePCR vendor's support department. 

Crew Member ID Population During Import

During the demographic import process, the system populates the Crew Member ID field in Crew Setup using the following hierarchy:

  1. Primary Source: The system first attempts to use the EMS Personnel's Agency ID Number (dPersonnel.23). When multiple Agency ID values exist, the system will use the first instance encountered.
  2. Fallback Source: If dPersonnel.23 is not present in the import file, the system automatically falls back to the EMS Personnel's State Licensure ID Number (dPersonnel.21).
  3. Missing Data Handling: If neither dPersonnel.23 nor dPersonnel.21 are available for a crew member, the system will skip that individual crew member and continue processing the remaining import data without generating an error.

If using AIM ePCR, the crew name will come over automatically without the need to configure Crew Setup. 

If using EMS Charts/ZOLL ePCR, an .xml file will be needed for import, not a .aim file.
