Field data entered in this area can post to the PCR Module. This area is optional and reference only, as many companies do not rely upon anyone but billers to enter insurance data.

If dispatchers are expected to enter these details, it is important to train them on data entry to avoid confusion with the billers and what is eventually posted to the Billing Module.

The Condition Codes are related to billing and the Billing Module, providing detail for billing purposes. If the Billable Items Tab is disabled, these fields should also be disabled.

Condition Code Entries are from the full ICD-10 List. Each record is a selected ICD-10 Code.

This field utilizes AutoComplete.

Determination of an appropriate Condition Code is beyond the scope of this document. When Condition Codes are posted to the Billing Module, they are likely based on data in the Condition Codes Setup Area of the Billing Module.

Condition Code Modifiers is a NEMSIS-only checkbox with no functionality in the Billing Module. This field describes why a patient is transported in a particular way or circumstance. This can provide reference for billing. <ePayment.52>
