Dispatch Call Data Entry: Narrative Tab

This tab is intended to store various information about the call; it functions as the story of the call. This data can be posted to the PCR Module or Billing Module based on setup configurations. This section has an auto save feature which completes an auto save every five minutes to help ensure that lengthy narratives are not lost if went unsaved.

Times data from the Times & Mileages Area populate in the Narrative when the call is finished. If data is not entered for a specific time field, it shows N/A. Total Mileage and Loaded Miles will populate in the Narrative.

Narrative Templates are available for users to format and streamline Narrative Data. Please see the Narrative Template Guide for details about Narrative Templates.

Select an entry from the Template Drop-Down and click Use to load it.

To print a Narrative, users should click the Print Icon for the browser’s basic print functionality. Save the Narrative as a PDF first for the best result.

The Save & Upload Dispatch Call Queue Button must be clicked to save the Narrative.

The Narrative can be moved into the ePCR or Billing Modules via the use of certain configuration switches.   

Right click on the Narrative text, in Google Chrome or Safari, to make use of the browser’s spellchecker. For these browsers, the dictionary is local.

Note: Spellchecker functionality is browser-specific, not program-related.
