Dispatch Notification Configuration Guide
Dispatch Notifications are an important tool to notify crew members of important transport details, even while they are on the road.
About AIM Dispatch Notifications
AIM Dispatch sends text message and email notifications to EMS crew members when they are assigned to a call. These notifications are sent on behalf of ambulance agencies that use AIM Dispatch software.
Text messages are sent from a dedicated phone number: (865) 420-3205. Text messaging is one-way only — recipients cannot reply to start a conversation. The only recognized replies are STOP, HELP, and START. Email notifications are separate and are not subject to the text message terms on this page.
Messages are never sent for marketing or promotional purposes.
What Messages Are Sent
Call Summary Notification (example below)

Sent when a crew is dispatched on a new call. Contains a summary of the assignment including pickup location, destination, date/time, and relevant notes.
Date/Time Notification (example below)

Sent after a call is completed. Provides the crew with date and time data collected during the call by the dispatcher.
Both notification types are available via text message or email. Message frequency varies based on dispatch activity.
How Users Opt In
Text message consent is collected inside the AIM Dispatch application, which requires a login. Opt-in is not available on a public website.
To opt in:
- Log in to AIM Dispatch and open Personnel, Vehicle, or Agency Setup.
- Enter a mobile phone number in the Crew Notification Number field. This field is optional — users are not required to provide a phone number to use the system.

- Select Text Message as the Notification Type.
- A consent checkbox is displayed. The user must check this box to opt in. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required to save or use other features in the application.

The consent disclosure reads:
"I agree to receive SMS notifications from AIM Dispatch regarding system alerts and operational updates. Message frequency varies based on system activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of use. View our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for more information."
NOTE: Users must explicitly check this box to opt in. The checkbox is unchecked by default. No text messages are sent until the user checks the box and saves their settings. Providing a phone number or selecting Text Message alone does not constitute consent.

How to Opt Out
Users may opt out of text message notifications at any time. Users who opt out can still receive notifications via email by changing their Notification Type to Email.
Method — How It Works
Reply STOP — Reply STOP to any AIM Dispatch text message. A confirmation is sent and no further messages will be delivered.
Reply START — Reply START to the same number to resume receiving text messages.
In-App — Remove the phone number or change the Notification Type to Email within AIM Dispatch.
Users can opt back in after texting STOP by replying START.
