Dispatch Data Entry 2

There are several standard icons for data entry of a new run, as explained below.

Edit must be enabled to enter data. Once a run has been saved, the user must select Edit when they want to alter the run in the future. This icon appears green if enabled and blue if inactive.

Clicking Save saves the run data on the screen. Afterward, this prompt appears:

Click Yes to keep editing active, and the user will stay on this screen.

Click No to make editing inactive and close this screen.

 

Finish finishes and validates the call. A prompt appears to confirm the call has been finished. The finished call is removed from the Dispatch Call Queue.

 

Unlock Command allows users with privileges to unlock a call.

 

Delete removes the current run from the program; it is not available when editing is enabled. Permission to delete should be limited (only supervisor and management roles should have this permission). Data should not be deleted unless it is a true duplicate of another existing call in the program.

To delete the current run, click the Delete Button. A prompt will confirm the removal of the run, and the Item was Successfully Deleted Message appears.

 

Reports provides a paper copy of the data entered for a trip or a summary of that data. This area also provides a Patient Care Number Change Audit Log; this report can only be opened from within a run.
