Dispatch Call Data Entry: Response Tab

These NEMSIS V3-related fields allow for call details and how the unit is to arrive at the patient. Crew/Unit Information Group functionality allows a user to assign a unit to this call.

                                      

Response Number is an optional identifier that can populate by Automatic Numbering.

 

Note:  If ‘Sync to Patient Care Number’ is enabled and the Patient Care Number is updated, this field will be updated also.

Transport Method indicates the type of vehicle.

 

Level of Care indicates the expected patient care level.

 

Type of Service Requested indicates the requested level of service.

 

EMS Code provides a quick pick of radio codes to dispatch the call.

 

Number of Patients Transported indicates the number of patients.

 

Incident Class provides a quick pick to sort report data.

 

Response Mode to Scene indicates emergent or non-emergent.

 

Additional Descriptors indicates response techniques.

 

Transport Mode indicates emergent or non-emergent.

 

Additional Transport Descriptors indicates response mode techniques for the call.

Vehicle Dispatch Location provides a user-defined quick pick field for the geographic location of the assigned unit when dispatched.

 

Unavailable for Transport Reason/Service provides a user-defined list of reasons why a unit or services were not able to transport a patient.

 

GPS Latitude, GPS Longitude and National Grid Coordinates are optional and derive from the NEMSIS V3 format.

To assign a unit, select from the Available Vehicles Drop-Down and click Assign Unit. Please see the chapter on theDispatch Call Queue for more details.

Once the unit has been assigned, the unit information is provided below, and the Available Vehicles and Assign Vehicle Buttons are replaced by the Un-Assign Button and two grids.

Note: The Un-Assign Button references the Assigned Unit.

 

Clicking Un-Assign <Unit Name> removes the assigned unit and associated grids.

 

Clicking the Green Cross Button under All Crew will allow users to add additional crew members.

 

Clicking the X to the left of the crew name under Current Vehicle Crew will remove a crew.

 

After the call is finished, this section will show the Crew/Unit Information that was assigned.
