Dispatch Setup: Narrative Templates Setup

Create pre-structured narrative templates with auto-populated data from the patient care report.

Narrative Templates allow administrators to create reusable narrative structures that save crews from writing narratives from scratch. Templates can include a combination of free-text content and template fields. Template fields are placeholders that automatically populate with answers from the patient care report when the template is applied.

Available template fields are listed as clickable hyperlinks on the right side of the screen. Clicking a template field inserts the corresponding tag at the cursor position in the narrative textbox. When the template is applied to a PCR, each tag is replaced with the actual data from that report. If a field has not been answered, the tag is replaced with a blank value.

The text editor toolbar provides bold, italics, and underline formatting options for the narrative content.

Narratives are limited to 10,000 characters.

Add: Create a new narrative template using the plus button. Enter a name for the template and build the narrative content using free text and template fields. Select Save to add the template or Cancel to return to the grid without saving.

Filter: Begin typing in the filter box to narrow results by template name.

Actions: Use the Edit button to modify an existing template. Use the Delete button to remove a template.
