ePCR Overview
The goal of the AIM Online Version of the Electronic Patient Care Reporting (ePCR) Module is to provide EMS customers with a web-based, Gold-compliant NEMSIS formatted program that is efficient and user-friendly. The ePCR Module's focus is to be able to be easy to train on as well as use. We pride ourselves in customer feedback on our program and bettering it through use of the software in the field.
The focus of The AIM System is to provide ways to reduce keystrokes and streamline data entry. This is accomplished through Field Configurations during setup of the ePCR Module which allow for flexibility and customization of the program fields. In addition, it has wide-spanning data points attributed to our many reports available with this module. The Setup of the ePCR Module can be used to heavily customize the ePCR data by eliminating or otherwise completing questions in the NEMSIS data set so that crews can save significant time in the field that they may spend otherwise repetitively entering the same data in other ePCR systems. This is achieved during the Trainer in the training processes in order to set our customers up for success before they even begin to use the software live in the field.
The purpose of this guide is to describe the functionality of the ePCR Module. Various types of users can benefit from this guide including management, system administrators, quality assurance staff, Paramedics, EMTs and billing specialists. The ePCR Module is built to enter PCR data with the expectations that this information will be moved to the AIM Billing Module of the AIM Online EMS Workflow System and to automatically report that data to the state in an XML format. This is controlled by the program functionalities explained in this guide and only takes place if a PCR is finished.
Note: Throughout this guide, PCR Number, Run Number, and Trip Number are used interchangeably. “PCR Number” is terminology of The AIM System in the Billing Module. These terms all indicate to the unique identification number assigned to that report. As such, their counterparts (PCR/run/trip) are also used interchangeably.
