File Attachment Process

Click the Add (+) Icon to begin a new attachment record (or edit an attachment entry).

Select from the Type Field.

To attach a file, drag the file from its initial location and drop it within the box. Alternately, users can click the box for a Save As Screen, where the file can be selected with normal operating system/browser processes.

In the event that a user fills out the information for an attachment but forgets to actually add the attachment, a validation requiring that an actual attachment be included will appear at the top of the page or when attempting to Finish the PCR.

Files should be no larger than 5MBs, as interactions with files on a web-based program becomes significantly slower with larger files, especially when uploading the XML or viewing.

Access a device camera and/or device gallery from the PCR software and upload a picture to the PCR using the Camera Icon.

NOTE REGARDING PHI: Depending on the device manufacturer and the age of the device/OS, a direct camera function may not be available and therefore images would only be accessible from the gallery (saving image on the device and requiring deletion from the gallery once attached.).

Check box if you want to include the attachment as part of the Hard Copy Fax.

Only PDF attachments can be sent.

Enter any comments for this file. Helpful comments describe what the document is to help provide management or billers with a more specified description of what each attachment is.

When saved, the added by, uploaded date, and last modified date are automatically entered.

Click Save (to complete entry) or Save+ (to complete current entry and start another).
