General Setup: Billable Items Setup

Billable Items Setup is used in conjunction with Service Level Mapping Setup and only by customers with both the AIM Dispatch/ePCR and Billing modules.

These items are for internal use, associated with charges to be billed. Procedure Codes are connected to these in the Billing Module Setup; these are not intended to be Procedure Codes.

This area is shared with the Billing Module. This data is best entered by billers or management in the Billing Module, as these internal codes affect billing on all levels and are needed for functionality.

Select the Billable Item Type from drop-down at the top for these specific internal codes:

  • Base Rates represent services like BLS, ALS, or other basic billing charges.
  • Mileages Rates are for different levels of billable mileage.
  • Other Charges includes Miscellaneous Services and Additional Mileage (beyond the allowed/billable).

Notes

  • Internal codes are up to 5 characters long, including numbers and letters.
  • Each code must be unique.
  • The same code can be used for all payers.
  • The description is shown in the program (in data entry and reporting), not the code.
