Entering a Signature

These steps assume that the device is capable of capturing a signature. For the best results, use a stylus to sign directly on the screen of the device.

  1. Click the Add (+) Icon to begin a new signature record.
  2. Choose the Type to identify the person who is signing.
  3. Type in the last name and first name of the signer.
  4. Update the Date/Time Field if needed.
  5. Select appropriate forms the signature is being obtained for.

Note: One signature can be captured for multiple reasons, but once a signature is captured, those reasons cannot be updated without clearing the signature.

Signature sections and signature boxes can be marked as required fields in Field Configuration Setup. Note that indicating a Patient Signature Status as one of the "Not Signed" selections will bypass the requirements for the patient signature in those circumstances.

Here, specific Signature Agreements can also be defaulted for certain profiles as well, making it very easy to ensure signatures are always entered before a patient care report can be marked as Finished.

  1. Click the Update Agreement Button to display the text for all selected Forms. Show the person signing.  This will enable the signature box so that the signature can be obtained.

Note: The signature box is disabled on every section but the Crew Signature Section until the Forms field is completed with what signature agreements the patient is signing for.

  1. Add Signature using finger, mouse or stylus.

  1. Pull Signature can be used to apply a Crew Members saved information from the Personnel section of setup using a 4-digit PIN (this will be censored during data entry, but can be viewed in Personnel Setup).
  2. Click Save (to complete entry) or Save+ (to complete current entry and start another).

Entered signatures will appear after entered.

PDF Form Signatures

This is a PDF version of a form that can be written on with a stylus, finger touch or mouse.  PDF forms can be added to this section from The Signature Agreement Setup in Patient Care Setup.
