Patient Care Data Entry: Optional Page > Incident Flags Tab

Incident Flags allow for a customizable incident reporting workflow, built-into the normal processes of the ePCR application.

The Incident Flag Tab is used in conjunction with the Patient Care Setup > Incident Flags Setup and the Patient Care Reports Module > Analysis Reports > Incident Flag Report in order to provide information regarding any kind of incident that occurred outside of the norm during a routine response or transport. 

 

Users can enter an Incident Flag within the Incident Flags Tab in order to send a small report as an email notification based off of Incident Flag setup. Typically these reports are sent to a Supervisor for review. Incident Flag reporting requires the completion of Incident Flag Setup, within the Patient Care Setup.

 

The Comments section is for Supervisors to enter comments for internal notes to the entire record (comments can be added to PCR’s that are finished also).  Completing an Incident Flag will trigger an e-mail message to send to any recipient for that Incident Flag.  Any updates made to the Incident Flag Details after the recipient has received the notification will be sent via e-mail with the word ‘Updated’ added to the notification.

Note: A last emailed date will display on a PCR that has already bene sent to the recipient for that Incident Flag Type with a date/time.  Updates will be shown on the Audit Log report.
