Patient Care Data Entry: Review Page

Located after the Optional Tab is where the details and functionality of QA processes of a specific PCR is found, provided Quality Assurance settings have been configured for the company.

Note: This page is not available for PCRs that are not in the QA process. You must have a PCR with status of ‘In Review’, ‘Returned for Corrections’ or ‘Reviewed’ to access the Review Page.

The Review Page is split up into several sections. The workflow begins with the Validation Errors Section, which can be reviewed to see if the user ignored any validation issues when completing their report. This is followed by the Review Information Section, which posts review information to the Activity Log Section, which creates a timeline of the QA on any individual PCR. The reviewer is able to either return the PCR to a crew member for corrections or to another reviewer for second-level review using the respective boxes in the Routing Information Section. The Complete QA With Feedback button is able to be used to finalize and complete the review of this PCR while including feedback on areas that could be improved on for the next PCR or notification regarding a good job documenting something. The Complete QA button is able to be used to finalize and complete the review of this PCR.

The QA process can be summarized with the following steps (see the Steps for the QA Processes page for more detailed steps):

  1. Review the PCR and/or validation messages at the top of the Review page.
  2. Add Review Information at the bottom of the Review page.
  3. Either Return PCR for Corrections or Route to a Review for further review once the Review Information has been completed in detail, saved and posted to the Activity Log (see below).
  4. Check the appropriate changes have been made once this PCR is no longer in ‘Returned for Corrections’ status and clickComplete QA to finish the QA for this PCR. If not, begin the process again from Step 1.

The Activity Log lists all QA activity for a quick review of the PCR’s location in the QA process. Users may view the date/time of the action, user initials, Error Category, Crew Member, and Notes. This information is entered in the Review Information Section at the bottom of the QA Page.

The Crew Member Field identifies the crew member that is making the corrections on this PCR. This only lists crews that are on the PCR.

The Error Category Field provides user-defined entries to organize/identify QA issues.

The Notes Text Box Field allows for further explanation of the QA or response.
