Transmitted Claims by Agency Report

The Transmitted Claims by Agency Report provides a comprehensive view of claim transmission activity across multiple agencies within a specified date range. This report breaks down transmission counts by payer type (Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial), allowing billers to efficiently track claim submission volumes without needing to run separate reports for each agency.

Accessing the Report

Navigate to Admin > Productivity Reports and select Transmitted Claims by Agency from the available reports list.

Report Configuration

Date Range

Use the Date Range fields to specify the transmission period you want to analyze. The report includes convenient quick-selection buttons for common date ranges

Agency Selection

The Agency multi-select dropdown allows you to choose which agencies to include in the report. This dropdown functions identically to the Agency dropdown in the Billing Performance Report and includes the following features:

  • Select All - Quickly select all available agencies
  • Unselect All - Clear all agency selections
  • The dropdown is automatically filtered to show only agencies you have access to

You can select as many agencies as needed to create a consolidated view of transmission activity across your billing service, if applicable.

Report Output

The report displays transmission data organized by agency, with detailed breakdowns by payer type.

Agency Sections

For each selected agency, the report displays:

  • Agency Name - Section header identifying the agency
  • Medicare Bills Transmitted - Total count of bills transmitted to Medicare payer types
  • Medicaid Bills Transmitted - Total count of bills transmitted to Medicaid (DPA) payer types
  • Commercial Bills Transmitted - Total count of bills transmitted to Commercial payer types

Grand Total Section

At the bottom of the report, a grand total section provides:

  • Total Medicare Bills - Sum of all Medicare transmissions across all selected agencies
  • Total Medicaid Bills - Sum of all Medicaid transmissions across all selected agencies
  • Total Commercial Bills - Sum of all Commercial transmissions across all selected agencies
  • Overall Grand Total - Combined total of all claims transmitted during the date range

Use Cases

This report is particularly useful for:

  • Weekly or monthly transmission tracking - Monitor claim submission volumes to ensure billing workflow is progressing on schedule
  • Multi-agency oversight - Review transmission activity across all agencies you manage without running multiple individual reports
  • Payer-specific analysis - Identify patterns in transmission volumes by payer type to optimize billing processes
  • Performance reporting - Generate consolidated metrics for management or client reporting purposes
  • Workflow troubleshooting - Quickly identify agencies with unusually low transmission counts that may require attention

Notes

  • The report counts individual bills transmitted, not batch transmissions
  • Transmission dates are based on when claims were actually sent to payers, not when bills were created
  • Only agencies you have access to will appear in the agency dropdown
  • The report can be saved to My Reports and scheduled for automatic delivery
  • Payer type classifications (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) are determined by the payer configuration in your system
