Account Member Tab Data Entry
This tab organizes data for members of this account in three areas. This is where additional members would be added to a new or established account.
Add/Delete Icons allow for creating or removing a Member.
Users can save new members individually or in a group after the user completes all data entry.
Search Arrows allow movement among the Members of the Account.
Modify Members Payers raises the Account Member Payers Screen, which acts like the bill Payers Screen in the Billing Module. Here, the user can create and remove payers, change the Patient/Payer ID, see which payers may be automatic crossovers via the Reconciliation Process with Options feature and additionally users can change the order of payers when a new bill is created.
When manually adding a payer to a bill, the system will prompt the user to instead use an Account Member Payer instead if the payer added to the bill has the same name and Policy/MBI Number as an Account Member Payer. This will allow the biller to speed up their data entry and avoid duplicate payers in the Account Member Payers Screen.
Head of Household
The Head of Household Indicator is important when Importing Trips from another program. If marked as Yes, this is the specific member that would be sent statements and would control the Insured Information data.
Hint: Click the Copy Account Info Button to populate fields in this area from the Account Information Tab.
The Head of Household Field in the Account Members Tab links the mailing address of the Account Information with the address entered for the account member indicated as the head of household.
With Head of Household indicated as Yes, changes to the Patient Address Fields also update the Mailing Address Fields of the Account Information Tab. If No, this data must be updated manually.
Head of Household can be defaulted to Yes in Field Configuration Setup, allowing manually-created accounts to automatically be the Head of Household for the first account member created. This only applies to the first account member.
Insured Information Area
This demographic information can be set to the Head of Household and shared by all members. This would apply, for example, In the case of a parent with insurance coverage that is used for all members of the account.
This area provides the information of the primary policy holder when the account member is covered by another member. This can be specific to each member.
