Patient Care Reports: Audit Log

The Audit Log of a patient care report helps users examine the timeline of the ePCR's creation and completion. It also provides data on any subsequent views or actions taken once that ePCR was initially completed.

The Patient Care Report Audit Log is available from the Reports Button on the Action Toolbar of the ePCR:

The Audit Log is a report that can be downloaded in order to view the following types of actions:

  • Created: Shows the date/time and user who created the ePCR.
  • Finished: Shows the date/time and user who completed the ePCR.
  • Updated: Shows the date/time and user who updated the ePCR. Updates begin to be tracked following the report being completed; updates made before the report was moved to a Finished status will not be noted. The specific nature of the update will not be noted unless it was the addition of an Incident Flag or Incident Flag comment.
  • Unfinished: Shows the date/time and user who unfinished the ePCR and moved it back to an incomplete status. Usually a reason why this was done will be available in the Notes Tab of the Documentation Page for context, unless the user who unfinished the ePCR did not leave one.
  • Unlocked: Shows the date/time and user who unlocked the ePCR. Unlocking a patient care report implies that the user removed the edit permissions from another user in order for the ePCR to become unlocked.
  • Viewed: Shows the date/time and user who viewed the ePCR. This is only tracked after the ePCR is finished initially.
  • Enabled Edit Mode: Shows the date/time and user who enabled edit on the ePCR. This is only tracked after the ePCR is finished initially.
  • Manual Save via Save Icon: Shows the date/time and user who used the Save button on the ePCR. This is only tracked after the ePCR is finished initially.
  • Routed for Correction: Shows the date/time and user who returned the ePCR for correction during the QA Review process.
  • Error Category Added: Shows the date/time and user who added an Error Category during the QA Review process.
  • QA Completed: Shows the date/time and user who completed the QA Review of that ePCR.
  • Deactivation: Shows the date/time and user who deleted the ePCR.

The Audit Logs of deleted ePCRs cannot be accessed without assistance from AIM Support. Please contact AIM Support with a patient name, date of service, and/or trip number to facilitate reactivating any previously-deleted ePCRs.
