6.0.109 Billing Release Notes

Billing Release Scheduled for 9/18/24 at 7:00AM EST

NOTICE:  Release will take place from 7AM- 7:30AM, the application will not be accessible during the update.

It is recommended after each release; users clear their browser cache.  This can be done by using the F12 key on your keyboard, right-clicking on the browser refresh button and selecting "Empty Cache and Hard Reload".

This document explains functionality updates to the AIM Online V6 Billing application. For additional information, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-726-4362 or support@aim-system.com.

 

Report/Queue Updates

  1. Overall Summary Report updates:
    1. Graphs/charts updated to provide data out to 2 decimal places instead of 4.
    2. A/R by Updated Rejections statistic will only show if the report was ran without an Ending Transaction Date or with an Ending Transaction Date equal to the current date.
  2. Contractor Queue no longer provides options for Payer Priority inclusion, instead it will always include bills where the selected payer is the current payer only to prevent certain bills from displaying on queue output twice.
  3. New report added to the Administrative Reports category: Bill Routing Stats by Agency/Biller
    1. This report provides data on open and closed routes. It can be filtered for a specific agency or biller.
    2. Ideal for providers with multiple agencies Billing Services utilizing the Router Tab across multiple agencies.

Setup Updates

  1. New Billing Setup area added: Patient Invoice/Blank Setup
    1. Remarks can be added to provide default remarks on patient bills.
    2. This area of setup can be made agency-specific in order to default different remarks for different agencies. Please contact AIM Support to do so.
    3. New role permission added: Patient Invoice/Blank Setup.
      1. Required to access Patient Invoice/Blank Setup - enabled by default for users with the Administrator role.
  2. ‘Image Offset’ added to Form Definitions Setup for the HCFA 1500 – All Payers form type to allow for the image to be aligned when using the ‘Print with Form Image’ option.

Accounts/Subscription Updates

  1. Patient Payment History Tab added to the Accounts/Sub Module > Information Tab.
    1. This Tab will load a grid containing all prior patient payments, patient payment adjustments, collections transactions, refunds and/or write off transactions. It is meant to provide an easily accessible list of relevant transactions relating to that patient’s prior payments (if any).

Billing Updates

  1. Updated the process of printing batch bills so that balances now display in the Batch Print Select screen.
    1. A new sort option was added the Batch Print Search screen: Balance
    2. This will now allow users to sort the Batch Print Select screen by Balance so that bills with a 0 dollar balance will be sorted at the top of the list and then can easily be de-selected before printing a batch of bills.
  2. Optimizations have been made to the Remove Rejection From Bill Utility under Data Maintenance. This function should now work much faster.
  3. Updated the electronic transmission format to prevent any rejections from blank spaces before the Prior Authorization Number.
  4. Added support for clearinghouse format when printing batches of Matching Patient Invoice/Blank bills.
    1. Added ‘Use Local Printer’ option when printing matching patient invoices/blank bills in a batch.
  5. Updated the error message format when attempting to import a file that is too large.
  6. Resolved an issue where when carrying account payers from last trip, sometimes the incorrect Commercial Electronic ID would populate for MDC Electronic (Gateway 5010).
