6.0.99 Billing Release Notes

Billing Release Scheduled for 1/17/24 at 7:00AM EST

NOTICE:  Release will take place from 7AM- 7:15AM, the application will not be accessible during the update.

It is recommended after each release; users clear their browser cache.  This can be done by using the F12 key on your keyboard, right-clicking on the browser refresh button and selecting "Empty Cache and Hard Reload".

This document explains functionality updates to the AIM Online V6 Billing application. For additional information, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-726-4362 or support@aim-system.com.

Report/Queue Updates

  1. Monthly Cash Transaction Report/Queue added to Billing, Accounting Reports. Report lists cash posted in a given month.
  2. Monthly Revenue Transaction Report/Queue added to Billing, Accounting Reports. Report lists revenue posted in a given month.

Setup Updates

  1. Configuration Settings Setup added for the Accounts Module, which includes an option to “Automatically Remove Timed Payments". If enabled, the system will automatically remove the Timed Payment set for an account (Type and Value fields) when the Patient Balance is less than the agreed amount or paid in full.
  2. Billable Items and Procedure Codes Setup updated to allow the filter to search on Code or Description.

Accounts/Subscription Updates

  1. An Accounts Module flag option has been added to the Narrative tab. When selected, the flag will only show in the Accounts Module and not the Billing Module.

Billing Updates

  1. Warning message added to Electronic Transmission for claims that have a $0.00 balance.
  2. “Carry Last Bill DX” button moved to bottom of option list on the Billing Diagnosis tab to avoid accidental selection.
  3. Transaction Change Log updated to include payer specific names in the descriptions for billed transactions that are commercial payer types.
  4. Tax ID and NPI Number added to the header of the Billing Hardcopy.
  5. Ability to add files from Manage Attachment File Utility directly to Manage EOB Files Utility added.
  6. Process with Options feature added to Process Reconciliation. This provides the ability to view the file information and make changes before the posting takes place.

Improvements

  1. Bill Number updated to no longer allow duplicate values.
  2. Selecting the next arrow on the Commercial Payer Setup list corrected to return user to top of list.
  3. Expiration Year corrected to use default value when enabled on the Subscription tab in the Accounts Module.
  4. Warning added for batch prints when a bill is included that has a $0.00 total charge.
  5. Claim Office Number field in the Supplemental Insurance section of an electronic payer updated to no longer allow more than four characters.
  6. Quick Pick Billing Setup Report corrected to return agency specific results.
  7. Added ability to use United Kingdom for mailing addresses.
  8. Updated the Alternative Mailing Address for a patient payer to update the Account Information tab, Primary Insured Member information to match when ‘Yes’ is selected on the prompt to use as contact information.
