6.0.126 Billing Release Notes

Billing Release Scheduled for 1/13/26 at 9:00 PM EST

NOTICE: This will be a longer release than usual, taking place from 9 PM - 10 PM, and the application will not be accessible during the update.

It is recommended that users clear their browser cache after each release. This can be done by pressing F12 on your keyboard, right-clicking the browser refresh button, and selecting "Empty Cache and Hard Reload".

This document explains functionality updates to the AIM Online V6 Billing application. For additional information, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-726-4362 or support@aim-system.com.

New Features & Enhancements

Report/Queue Updates

  1. Transmitted Claims by Agency Report added to Admin > Productivity Reports category. This report provides comprehensive totals for all claims transmitted for all selected agencies. Ideal for billing services managing transmission workflows who want to understand how many claims were transmitted to certain payer types over a date range for multiple agencies at once.
  2. Cash Receipts by Payer Report Subtotals - Both Summary and Detailed versions of the Cash Receipts by Payer Reports now include a subtotal below the payments with payment numbers section. The subtotal for payments with payment numbers plus the subtotal for payments without payment numbers equals the grand total at the bottom of the report.

Billing Updates

  1. Global Customer/Agency Search - A new "Search all customers/agencies I have access to" checkbox on the Billing Module search screen allows users to search across all agencies they have access to instead of just the current agency.
    1. When enabled, results display up to 100 records across all agencies with a Customer/Agency column showing the source agency.
    2. Records from other agencies are highlighted and open in a new browser tab for easy navigation.
  2. Bulk Update Transaction Codes in Process Recon - A new "Select" checkbox column has been added to the Process Recon With Options Grid, allowing users to select multiple bills for bulk transaction code updates.
    1. When one or more bills are selected, a "Bulk Update Transaction Codes" section appears with Adjustment Code, Payment Code, and Other Code dropdowns.
    2. Users can select codes and click "Apply to Selected Bills" to update transaction codes and descriptions for all selected bills at once, streamlining the reconciliation with options process.
  3. Manage Attachment Files Utility Enhancements
    1. Link Files to Bills and Accounts - Files can now be linked directly to bills or accounts without leaving the Manage Attachment Files utility, eliminating the need to download files and manually navigate to records for attachment.
      1. Individual Link button (🔗) added as the first action in each file's Actions column
      2. Link Selected Files bulk action button added to link multiple files at once
      3. Link modal provides search functionality for both bills and accounts with sequential linking support (Files remain in the utility after linking)
    2. New Recipient Column and Filter - Recipient designation added to identify files for specific user groups (Biller or Provider). a.
      1. Recipient column added between Type and Creator columns with sortable header
      2. Recipient filter added alongside Name filter for focused file searches
      3. Recipient dropdown added to Add File screen with Quick Pick configuration support
    3. Bulk Operations Support - Select multiple files using checkboxes for streamlined file management.
      1. Checkbox column added as leftmost column with Select All/Unselect All toggle in header
      2. Download All downloads selected files as a zip with formatted filename
      3. Delete All removes selected files with confirmation prompt
      4. Individual action buttons (Edit, Download, Delete) automatically disable when files are selected
    4. Download Prompt - After downloading an individual file, users are now prompted with the option to remove the file from the grid, streamlining cleanup of processed documents.

Improvements

  1. Address validation feature now available.
    1. Provides address suggestions when addresses are detected as invalid or potentially could be improved in the Billing, Accounts, and Setup (Commercial Payers and Picked Up/Taken To Locations) modules.
    2. Activates automatically when “Enable Address Validation” is enabled in General Setup > Configuration Settings Setup. This will be enabled automatically for all customers on release.
  2. Email validation added to all email fields to ensure proper formatting. SMS gateways no longer supported.
