New Features & Enhancements
Report/Queue Updates
- Task Scheduler Grid Audit Report added to the Billing > Miscellaneous Reports category. This report provides logging for files downloaded from the Task Scheduler Grid, tracking when scheduled task files were accessed and by which users.
- Login Report now only shows logins relevant to the agency for which you are running the report. Logins from users with access to multiple agencies/customers will not be reflected on this report unless it was a login to the active agency moving forward.
Setup Updates
- Two new configuration settings added to Billing Configuration Settings Setup:
- Automatic Mandatory Print Highlights: Automatically enables Mandatory Print highlights for all users in the Billing Module.
- Automatic Mandatory Entry Highlights: Automatically enables Mandatory Entry highlights for all users in the Billing Module.
- New Invoice Display column added to Transaction Types Setup - configuration controls where transaction codes appear on patient and commercial invoices (Default Handling, Insurance Payments, Insurance Adjustments, or Other Adjustments).
- Multiple secondary users can now be selected for Scheduled Tasks.
- Address Validation now active in Picked Up / Taken To Locations Setup and Commercial Payers Setup. When adding or editing transport location or commercial payer addresses, the system will attempt to validate the city, state, and zip code of that address to ensure it is correct, prompting the user if invalid, and often times providing suggestions on correct addresses.
Coming Soon: Address Validation in the Accounts/Billing modules
Billing Updates
- Automatic Rejection function now available for all customers in the Connect to Retrieve Reports screen for 277 rejections.
- When processing 277 reports containing rejections, this function automatically posts rejection transactions to the affected bills, updates them to Rejected status, and hyperlinks the 277 report as an EOB attachment for easy reference.
- This streamlines the rejection workflow by eliminating manual rejection posting.
- Added Date of Service context to the Last Verified At Date/Timestamps in the Payers Tab's View/Edit screen and in the Eligibility results.
- Read-only Subscriber Type field added to Information Tab for context.
- Improved GNIS code mapping for Cities during import process to reduce errors relating to unrecognized cities.
- "Contains" dropdown added to Connect to Retrieve Reports screen. Filters downloads for the selected Agency.
- 999 reports can not be filtered.
- 835 files may contain multiple agencies depending on clearinghouse/entity configuration.
- Import Notification e-mails based on Number of Days Since Last Import now indicate how many days have passed since the last import occurred in the subject line.
- An option to flag bills in need of supporting documentation has been added to the Payers Tab next to the Edit/View button for each bill payer.
- When entering a bill that will require additional documents to be printed alongside it, check this option to notify the biller printing this bill to also print the supporting documentation.
- When printing individual bills, billers will be notified in the Post Transactions prompt.
- When printing batch bills, billers will see which bills require supporting documentation in the Batch Print Select screen, with bill numbers available in the Post Transactions prompt after selection.
- When using the Task Scheduler for printing bills, the Success Confirmation E-mail now indicates which bills require additional documentation to be printed.
- There will be two files in the task scheduler grid when one or more bills require supporting documentation -- bills that don't require supporting documentation will compiled in one file, bills that do require support documentation will be compiled into a separate file.
- A new column has been added to the Task Scheduler Grid to indicate which print files require supporting documents to be printed as well. Refer to the Success Confirmation E-mail sent to both the primary and secondary assigned users for a list of bill numbers to print supporting documents for when printing these print files.
Improvements
- New Data Maintenance Utility added: Translate ANSI 5010 Transmission File
- This utility translates a transmission file into a readable format for troubleshooting rejections/denials referencing loops, lines, and/or segments.
- Improved handling when a user with access to multiple customers is removed from User Maintenance Setup.
Bug Fixes
- "Remember me on this device" option on login screen will no longer reset when a different user logs in on that device.
- When creating a new bill manually with an existing patient account, the system will now prompt the user with the Confirm/Update Information prompt when data conflicts exist between the new bill and the existing patient account.
- Resolved errors that would sometimes appear when running the Accounts Receivable Date Range Report without account details.
- Corrected the Status of Every Bill by Date of Service and by Bill Number reports to prevent bills from being listed twice for some customers.
- Resolved an issue where users received an error when attempting to save a file attachment with a long file extension.
- Resolved issues where Payment Codes were not available in the Payment Service Mailbox of the Process Recon screen shortly following the V6.0.124 update.
- Full bill numbers will now display on 277 reports -- previously some numbers would be cut off if the bill number was too long.
- The Potential ICD-10 Code Usage Metrics Report no longer causes an error when ran using the "this year" date range button.
